Sacred island of the Amazon Nation. In Second Life this is an extension on the builds of Freelon, the first Amazon settlement. In RL, Aretias is thought to be a small island in the Black Sea, just off the cost of Turkey.

Aretias was created on the grid in late November, 2004.

For centuries the stories of the Amazons were thought to be pure myth, however recent discoveries are starting to show that many of the ancient accounts may well be based on fact. Some authors going so far as to imply that certain writings, ex. Herodotus, may even be historically accurate records of a time and people long since forgotten by conventional history.
