Community Standards (CS): A list of rules to ensure peaceful and tolerant interaction amongst residents. The CS is different from the TOS (Terms of Service) in that the CS defines what behavior is acceptable in the community, while the TOS states what is acceptable with regards to all aspects of Second Life (such as can be done to client, object ownership), and also what is legally (as in real world law) acceptable. However, breaking either the CS or TOS could result in a ban or other punishment.
