The wreckage of the HMS Malamute
Columbia is one of the sims comprising the northern continent that was brought online on March 22, 2005. It is part of the new continent's mainland.
The site where the HMS Malamute (the ship Magellan and his crew flew to reach the new continent as detailed in Magellan's blog entry) crashed is in Columbia. This may be a reference to the real-life Space Shuttle Columbia.
It is home to the first shopping mall opened in the new continent - Aztecha. This overlooks the crash site and has narrative continuing the story.
