History
On March 9th, 2004 Haney Linden announced the upcoming debut of Second Life's first official City sims. Features of these sims included twice the prim allowance, as well as a full array of Linden-created infrastructure.

On March 18th, 2004 residents of Second Life got a glimpse at the newest sims to be added to the continent, by way of a tantalizing post by Xenon Linden with a mysterious image.

On March 24th, we saw another post from the Lindens, this time with several more pictures as preperations were being made to open the land to the public. Included in the images was an aerial shot, as well as a few of the new trolley system that would provide transit along the city streets.

Sometime in late 2005, around October, these sims were recreated in the Teen Grid, next to the welcome area. Looking exactly the same, with the same land parcels, these sims have become a huge hit!
