To orbit someone in Second Life means to force that resident's avatar to an extreme altitude, usually 14,000 meters or so above the surface of the sim. Orbiting is often considered to be a tool to punish griefers, but it is also used by griefers to abuse other residents. To recover from an orbit, teleport to a known spot (landmark). Alternately, some residents use the time spent falling creatively, by organizing their inventory.
