The Order of the Bunyip

The Order of the Bunyip is an ancient and historic decoration, rarely conferred but a legendary part of the Commonwealth of Austral. The Southern Star is the official medal awarded to dignitaries who are recipients of the Order.

The Order of the Bunyip is awarded to residents who make an outstanding, merit-based contribution to the life of the Commonwealth of Austral, through creativity, innovation, music, performance, social networking, cultural measures, as ambassadors and much more.

The Governor-General confers the Order very rarely, and as an exceptional honour over and above Knighthoods within the Commonwealth of Austral.
