Talk:Linden Dollar
From Second Life Wiki
Guh, really? Ellz? Ew. Same kinda ugly slang as refering to Second Life as "2nd Life" or "2L". :P

I never heard of it as Ellz... I really need to break out of my usual haunts.

Not exactly hugely common slang, but I hear it about in places like the NCI and the Shelter. These things have a way of spreading.

Spelling of currency on the wiki
How are we supposed to spell the abbreviated currency on the Wiki? It would be nice if we could keep it consistent throuhgout the project.
Possible variants include:
- 100 L$
- 100 $L
- L$ 100
- $L 100
including or omitting the blank separator.
I tend to write "L$100" myself. What do you think? --Zi 11:31, 6 Jun 2006 (EDT)
sounds good Zi :)

It seems the standard for USD is $100, so I guess it would be best to go with L$100. I'll try and correct my tick of usually doing 100L$ :P .

look?
I am sitll unclear on this, Oz: "It has no official physical representation in-world, although many residents have made their own version of how they think the L$ should look." Do you mean what it should VISUALLY look like (as in a Linden dollar bill)? -Eep 03:28, 25 Jun 2006 (EDT)
